Whether your pets are staying just the day or for some nights, we make sure they have an enjoyable stay. We take pride creating a comfortable and fun setting for them, so they feel right at home 🙂

At Kosy K9s & Katz, we understand that your pets are part of your family. So if you're going on a vacation, need a place for your furry friend during the day, or simply want them to socialise and have a good time, our team is here to cater to all their needs.

  • Boarding kennels

    We take the very best care making sure they have as much fun on their stay as you do on your holiday!

  • Doggie daycare

    Let your pooches play and socialise with others for the day. A great way for them to exercise and have fun while you work.

  • Doggie day spa

    Bring your precious pooch(es) in for the day. They'll have a bath, blow dry, brush, nail trim and basic hygiene trim if required, as well as socialising, playing and having fun.

  • Cattery

    We welcome cats in a secure location on our property, away from our pooches in a nice open area where they can relax and watch the birds.

Our standards

Your pet's wellbeing is our top priority. We maintain a clean and hygienic facility.

Our trained staff members are knowledgeable in pet care and are attentive to any signs of distress or health issues. We try to use your preferred vet, but also have veterinary contacts on standby to address any emergencies.

Officers from Waimakariri Council's Animal Management unit inspect and accredit our kennels every year.

Our Terms and Conditions

  1. We need to view a vaccination certificate, to verify your dog has been vaccinated within the last 11 months or at least 10 days before arrival. We will not accept pets for boarding unless a certificate is presented on arrival or the vaccination has been previously verified. If any guest requires veterinary care – all relative costs will be met by the pet owner.
  2. Dogs must be wormed 1 week before arrival with a broad spectrum wormer.
  3. We reserve the right to:
    1. make suitable arrangements for any pet left in our care 14 days after the due collecting date if no contact is made by the owner or the owners agent.
    2. have any dog, which barks persistently or causes undue stress, removed by the agreed contact person. (This is always the last resort!!)
    3. place dogs where we feel is appropriate to enable the smooth running of our facility.
